Whatever Happened To TJ Steel?

Back in 2012, regular contributor and good friend of this blog Jim emailed me match pics he took of Chicago-based wrestler TJ Steel. Four years have passed and I haven't seen nor heard anything else about the self-named "Prince of Pro Wrestling." Whatever happened to him? Is he still wrestling? (Click on his name in the Labels section below to see older posts on TJ Steel.)

  1. Thanks, Bruno, for the referral to the whole of BCoW posts featuring T J Steel, who is great to see wrestle as well as just to look at. One particularly liked the gold tights, even though they did remind one of Cher. The silver ones, not so much. TT

  2. His real name is Ryan Strickland (the match you posted was from his Youtube channel, but he deosn't seem to upload vids too often. Since he has a belt in the promotion he is in, he must wrestle a lot more frequently than his vids indicate. The same channel has a brief match from this past March:

I found his FB page once, and it looked like he was a police detective (or, less likely, if the smirks and flexing were any indication, a stripper). Anon.

    3. Thanks! Cool to see Nese on big TV, but sad to see he's gone nomad with his beard and hair. That ending would've been so much hotter if Nese were hotter.

  4. There's an FB page for a TJ Steele who wrestles, but it looks nothing like this guy. The guy on FB now is bald and has a big bushy beard.

    2. Quite right. That extra "e" adds 30 lb. in all the wrong places. Anon.

  6. Hey guys, long live the Prince! I still am alive and still wrestling. At the end of 2014/start of 2015 I had to take time off for C7 spinal surgery and after my rehab finished I slowed my bookings down to about 1 or 2 a month. Also, someone above guessed that I was a dirty copper, oink oink :). Now I cant say which law enforcement agency I work for but it is In fact why I am no longer permitted to have a facebook, twitter, instagram, etc. As of right now I am "NAPW" North American Pro Wrestling's Heavyweight Champion as well as the Second City Heavyweight Champion (which previously was exclusive to "CSW" Chicago Style Wrestling, but now is defended in several different IL feds I guess, w/e) the best way to find any TJ Steel videos or pics, links to TJ matches, promo flyers with TJ on em is to check out NAPW's facebook page https://m.facebook.com/NorthAmericanProWrestling/ or just search for TJ Steel on youtube, people seem to upload a match of two every few months. I'm still doing modeling but sadly nothing with my face in it anymore like the 2012 equipo underwear photo shoot. But now days, if you find yourself at yer local kholes and your buying some briefs from equipo about half of those packages of undies have TJ plastered on them from neck to quad. Anyways, I might be harder to find now days but I'm certainly not gone. Maybe il find a way to have someone post some more recent TJ Steel pics on here if yall want.
