Hard Reign

If it weren't for the Comments section of this blog, I may never have heard about independent American wrestler Ryan Reign. How did this guy ever get past me? Oh, I know. It's because there aren't a lot of photos of him online. I did a Google Image Search and came across only one recent photo (there are a couple of older ones, too).  Ryan's Facebook page and Twitter account are a bit thin on photos (seriously, Ryan, what's up with that? We need to see more of you!). Thankfully, there's more of him on YouTube including this video provocatively titled Ryan Reign Sexy Wrestler in Tiny Trunks (there are 14 other videos in this Playlist). Anyway, here are some pics of 25 year old Reign in a dog-collar match against Ashton Amherst whom he's been feuding with for some time now. (Warning: some photos are a bit graphic. Skip this post if the sight of some blood makes you uncomfortable.)

The winner! (You can purchase a download of what may be the
last match between Reign and Amherst here.)

  1. Isn't it nice to know there is always someone new (or new to you) to find out there? As I mentioned, he has beefed up recently, so he did not stand out from the crowd as starkly as he does now. Anon.
Before you spend your money on the match, which probably is of higher quality, try the free Youtube version:

  2. Yum, this guy definitely has nice ass and quads (what's happening to me!). Dog collars are hot. Blood not as much. I'll take it!

  3. And, as an aside, I found out where Rob Terry has been wrestling regularly, and the promotion just posted an entire ppv show on Youtube. Also note the presence of Blaine Rage (a two timer on BoW) on the card:

    1. Having watched the cited Rob Terry video twice through, I have come to the tentative conclusion that his appeal is his exquisite body rather than his wrestling talent. He could probably benefit tremendously from additional training. He could probably obviate the need to learn more "moves" by convincingly learning to suffer. I doubt that he is real heel material, but he could be a successful jobber as a long-suffering victim of oppression, especially if allowed a period of equality or superiority for part of a match.

      Just a thought.

    2. Agreed. That's usually the problem with the huge bodybuilder types. They tend to stand around like rocks while the other wrestlers dance around them, providing most of the entertainment, and then the bbs do a few big moves. So much more satisfying when they are defeated by a smaller or old, out-of-shape veteran. Anon.

  4. Handsome guy!
    (I don’t mind the blood either…)

I heard RR interviewed on an indy podcast last year… he comes across very well. He mentioned he is one of the trainers for VOW (I believe its VOW) …

Equally Interesting … I just saw another Ryan Reign match yesterday and he seemed a bit beefier…

it was “Chris Taylor vs Ryan Reign”

    2. I was wondering why this guy surprised me since I follow the comments of most posts. Turns out I hadn't been following that one.

Since a lot of discovery happens in these comments, I'd recommend linking the post's comments (I think it's just #comments at the end of the url or something) Bruno. Or just the post and say to look in the comments.
